JoSAA Registration 2024 to begin on June 10: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will commence registrations for JoSSA 2024 in online mode on June 10, 2024 . To register, candidates are required to log in to the official portal of JoSAA using their JEE Main 2024 roll number and password. Those registering for JEE Advanced must use their JEE Advanced password to log in. Upon logging in, candidates should carefully review all details such as gender, nationality, state code of eligibility, and contact information. Do note, it is important to confirm that all the details are accurate. Furthermore, except for contact information, no other personal data can be modified during JoSAA 2024 registration.

JoSAA Registration 2024: Distribution of seats for NITs

Candidates can find the distribution of programme seats in NIT+System through JoSAA counselling 2024 below-

  • Seats for academic programs offered by NITs, IIEST Shibpur, and PEC Chandigarh are divided into the Home State quota and the Other State quota. Additionally, the distribution of program seats is based on categories of candidates.
  • The Home State Quota for Ghani Khan Choudhary Institute of Engineering and Technology Malda is for candidates from the states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Assam, Meghalaya, and Tripura. The "Home State quota" is only for candidates whose Home State/UT, as determined by the State Code of Eligibility, is the same as the state/UT in which the institute is located.
  • The Other States Quota is for candidates from states other than Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, and West Bengal. The "Other States Quota" includes all the states and union territories except the Home State.
  • Candidates who are eligible under the state code of West Bengal are not allocated seats through JoSAA/CSAB in Ghani Khan Choudhary Institute of Engineering and Technology Malda.
  • The academic programs offered by Assam University, Silchar, Birla Institute of Technology, and Puducherry Technological University, Puducherry have seats distributed among the Home State quota and All India quota.
  • In all other institutes not mentioned above, there is only one seat quota, which is the All India quota.
