In order to get a seat in one of the top participating colleges, applicants need to mark their preferences strategically by keeping the following pointers in mind:

  • Although JoSAA Round 5 cutoff 2023 will be less than Round 4, the number of seats will also be limited.

  • While editing the option form before Round 6 seat allocation, candidates must check out the closing ranks of their preferred institutions, along with the colleges that fall within the merit range. Then, the applicants must mark the colleges that accept their rank. This way, applicants can avoid wasting a seat.

  • Candidates must ensure to mark the colleges in the order of importance. The first college should be the one that stands as a first priority.

  • Candidates should also include colleges with fewer cutoff requirements to get a confirmed seat.
