  • Over 40 delegates from Croatia, Scotland, Portugal, Germany and Israel took part in the meet.
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Organises Entrepreneurship Student Training

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) organised an Entrepreneurship Student Training meet from January 22 to 25, 2018. The training meeting was exclusively organised for managers and teachers of Erasmus Plus SILICE delegates. Over 40 delegates from Croatia, Scotland, Portugal, Germany and Israel took part in the meet. The major motive of the event was to develop social entrepreneurship and social innovation in Indian and Israeli local communities. As many as 14 universities and institutes from six nations are a part of SILICE, an international capacity-building project. These institutes will be a part of SILICE for a minimum of three years.

The training meeting focused on providing appropriate training and mentorship to delegates in ideation stage, and equip them with relevant and mandatory skills.

Founder of KIIT and KISS, Professor Achyuta Samanta addressed the meet and inspired the delegates by giving a detailed account of his personal entrepreneurial journey. The training meeting was an intermingling of creative minds and intellectuals. Through this programme, KIIT was able to establish stronger relations amongst the existing partners for achieving the common goal of a more responsive and better society. Such programmes will boost up the social incubation activities in Odisha.

CEO of KIIT – Technology Business Incubator, Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar welcomed the delegates during the inaugural session of the training meet. During his address, he focused on the status of social entrepreneurship and innovation.

Apart from extensive theoretical sessions, the delegates visited the social enterprises in the surroundings of KIIT so that they could get real-time exposure to social enterprises.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Daniela Levi from TelHai Academic College.
