Vijayanagara University postpones semester exams scheduled on September 29
Karnataka Bandh 2023:
Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University has decided to postpone the semester exams of Undergraduate courses scheduled on September 29 due to the state-wide bandh. On September 29, a state-wide bandh is being organized against the government’s decision to release Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. As public transport is likely to be disrupted across the state, Vijayanagara University has decided to postpone the exams.
An official notice released by the university reads that ‘in the view of Karnataka bandh, all Under Graduate (UG) semester exams scheduled on September 29 have bee postponed, and the same will be conducted on October 8, 2023. Apart from the exams scheduled on September 29, all other exams scheduled from September 30 onwards shall be conducted as per the schedule.

Students of Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University and its affiliated colleges must note this change. If there are any further changes in the schedule of other exams, the university will notify the same separately.
Various associations, Old and Uber have extended their support for Karnataka Bandh on September 29. Expected for essential services like hospitals, pharmacies and banks, all other services are likely to be shut across the state.

Karnataka schools might also declare a holiday on September 29
. Official information will be provided to students in case a decision is taken to grant a holiday.
