Karnataka DCET Option Entry : Karnataka Examinations Authority will begin Karnataka DCET option entry today, November 21 , at kea.kar.nic.in . As per the timing declared by the officials, the preference form will be made accessible to the candidates from 11 AM onwards. Based on the seat matrix, fees, and preferences, applicants will be able to shortlist and mark their preferred courses and colleges in the form till November 23, 2023, 11 AM . Post submission of the options form, the mock allotment result will be displayed by the authorities on November 23, 2023, after 6 PM . Applicants will then be allowed to make edits to the already submitted form (if required) to improve their chances of admission between November 23, 2023, 8 AM , to November 25, 2023, 11 AM .

Important steps for Karnataka DCET Option Entry 2023

The steps to mark preferences in Karnataka DCET option entry are as follows:

Step 1 : Go to KEA’s official portal kea.kar.nic.in .

Step 2 : Type your CET number to log in to your dashboard.

Step 3 : Find the option entry link, and tap on it. The course and the college list will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4 : Click on the courses you wish to opt for. Arrange the chosen courses in descending order of priority.

Step 5 : To choose another course, tap on ‘College Type’ again, and add priority numbers.

Step 6 : Check your preferences by clicking on ‘View Selected Option’.

Step 7 : Once done checking, submit the entries by pressing ‘Enter’.

Note, that candidates will not be allowed to edit their web options soon after submitting them to the officials. The option edit facility will be activated, only after the mock allotment result is declared to record the final changes. Once re-activated, candidates will be able to log in through the procedures mentioned above, click on ‘Modify Selected Option’, change/add/delete the preferences and press ‘Update’ to complete editing.
