Directorate of Lifelong Learning - DLL, University of Kashmir will start a Bachelor of Vocational degree course in Electronic Media and Automotive Technology soon.
To launch degree courses in skill education, DLL has organised an advisory meeting under the chairmanship of Talat Ahmad, KU Professor and Vice-Chancellor. The meeting was attended by many eminent personalities from Kashmir University, All India Council for Technical Education and University Grants Commission.
During the advisory meeting, many aspects regarding the launch of new degree courses were discussed. In his inaugural address, Prof and Vice Chancellor KU, Talat Ahmad, said that the youth of the Kashmir valley should be well trained in skills education and should be equipped with technical skills as per the industry trends. This will increase their employability and will help them bag jobs in technological and skill driven market.

According to him, the main aim of this initiative is to make the students' job ready and impart them skills as per industry trends.
Prof M.P. Poonia, Vice Chairman, AICTE said that the institute is ready to provide all the support to universities in terms of expertise and other sources.

Director DDU Kaushal Kendra expressed his gratitude and thanked the UGC authorities for choosing the University of Kashmir for the B.Voc courses.
