Zubair Ahmad Itoo has set an example for the Kashmiri youth by clearing the reputed Services Selection Board (SSB) exam where he secured the fourth place.

Zubair Ahmad Itoo has set an example for the Kashmiri youth by clearing the reputed Services Selection Board (SSB) exam where he secured the fourth place. Zubair hails from a village in the Anantnag district, South Jammu and Kashmir which is one of the most restive regions of the state.

He will join the Indian Army as a Commissioned Officer (CO). Zubair is an engineer and graduated in May 2016 from the SRM University Delhi. He cleared SSB exam from special selection center (North) and will be joining the Officers Training Academy, Chennai for his 49-week long officer training.

Zubair will join the Indian Army as a Lieutenant after completing his training. The young achiever believes that education can help in uplifting the youth to a great extent.

At the time when his home has been hurled into chaos, Zubair’s success is a motivation for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to strive harder and make the most of their education.

Zubair is not the only student from the state who has realized the importance and benefits of education. Nabeel Ahmed Wani from J&K has also made the state proud by securing the top place for himself in the BSF recruitment exam for officers.
