Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the inaugural talk of the webinar by Education Ministry on budget execution for 2022-23. The webinar will begin at 11 a.m. today, February 21, 2022. The Education Ministry will provide a webinar to discuss how the budget highlights will be implemented, with a focus on the Education and Skills sector.

The participants and experts will examine the several essential features stated for the education sector, such as Digital University, Digital Teacher, and others, along with the way they can be implemented effectively.

The Education Ministry stated on Twitter about today's webinar, "a webinar on the Education and Skill Sector is being organized by the Ministry of Education. The webinar will feature discussions on a variety of relevant topics, and will withhold participation from Ministry Officials, Educators, and other specialists."

The webinar will cover the following themes/topics, according to information provided by the Ministry of Education:

  • The Digital University: Bringing World-Class Higher Education to Everyone
  • The Digital Teacher: Generating Quality E-Content and Virtual Labs for Inclusivity, Improved Learning Outcomes, and Skilling
  • Broadening the Reach of One Class, One Channel: Bringing Quality Digital Education to even the Country's Most Remote Locations
  • India to Foster a Stronger Industry-skill Linkage, and Specific Knowledge in Urban Planning and Design.
  • India to Strengthen Industry-Skill Linkage in AVGC, and to Develop Educational Institutions in GIFT City.

The Plenary Session will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after which seven concurrent breakout sessions will be held on the identified themes. The webinar will centre on brainstorming ideas and perspectives from a variety of specialists in the field in order to better and more effectively implement the projects and schemes outlined in the Union Budget 2022.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman suggested the establishment of a Digital University during the Union Budget 2022 speech, which could tackle the issue of limited seats. "Regional language programmes will be offered in this digital university," he said on the occasion of International Mother Language Day as education in one's mother tongue is essential for a child's growth.

"Digital University is one of a kind," Prime Minister Modi declared today at the plenary session. "We are concentrating on digital integration. It has the potential to address the issue of academic programme availability. Every student will be able to attend the Digital University."
