In 2021, the High Court of Court Rajasthan supported that B.Ed candidates should not be given eligibility for REET Level posts, and only those candidates with a degree in Elementary Education are eligible. However, the decision of the High Court has been challenged by the Central Government in Supreme Court. It was NCTE’s rule to provide eligibility to teach primary classes for B.Ed graduates.
