A meeting of all the centre superintendents and observers who have been assigned duties during the entrance examination for UG courses of Lucknow University was held in the auditorium of the department of Chemistry on Sunday afternoon in the presence of ViceChancellor SB Nimse.
Coordinator of admissions Anil Mishra briefed the gathering regarding the procedure for conducting the examination. They were explained the minutest details and were specially told to keep the convenience of candidates in mind. “Candidates have been issued admit cards which they have to download from the university admission website and they have to be on their seats by 8:30 am. No candidate is to be given entry in the examination centre without the admit card and candidate will not be given entry on the basis of printout of the application form,” Mishra said.
Naveen Khare explained the matter regarding opening and packing of the examination material. Also there were some concerns regarding candidates who did not possess the required photo ID. The centre superintendents were told that all candidates who did not have the government-issued photo ID could use their school ID cards for appearing in the examination.
Vice-Chancellor SB Nimse emphasised that the most important factor was the transparency and credibility for the smooth as well as fair conduct of the examination. He wanted the process to be studentfriendly and if candidates faced any problem it should be resolved by the core coordinating committee.
