From the last couple of years, there has been no entrance examination for MBA admissions and the candidates have been able to secure seats as per their graduation marks. There are 67 colleges in Bhopal which offer MBA course out of 200 colleges across the state.

The main objective of recommending CMAT for MBA admissions is to improve the quality of education. If CMAT is introduced, college level counselling in MBA will come to an end. However, there is no clarity whether college level counselling will be scrapped or not.

CMAT is a national level entrance examination conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for the admission to various MBA courses.
