Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) – Maharashtra has announced that the admission process for all ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) will be based on a mobile application this year, i.e., MahaITI App. The directorate has instructed all ITIs across the state to develop a mobile application for 2020-21 admissions. Students can fill the online application form through the Maha ITI app, and the admission process that includes merit list and seat allotment can also be checked through the app. Considering the difficult situation due to Covid-19, DVET has come up with this initiative.
The application form for ITI admission in Maharashtra will begin after the announcement of Class 10 th results. Students will be granted admission based on marks scored in Class 10 th and college preferences filled in the application form.
DVET Maharashtra will release four merit lists for ITI admission 2020, and a counselling process is conducted for each round. The certificate or document verification is also expected to be conducted online this year. The directorate will constitute a district-level committee across all districts to monitor the counselling/ admission process.
Private ITI college/ minority institutes will have to list out the management quota seats on their official websites. The admission for management quota seats can be conducted online this year.
Candidates aspiring for ITI admission in Maharashtra for the academic session 2020-21 will have to download the mobile application. The details of the candidates will be automatically populated after entering the Class 10 th hall ticket/ seat number.
