Almost 65% seats are vacant after the FYJC second round counselling, and the authorities have initiated the process for third round to fill the vacant setas.
Maharashtra FYJC two rounds of admission are completed for the academic session 2022-23 and more than 65% of the seats are left empty for students. Candidates who are not satisfied with the previously allotted seat can again enter into another round Maharashtra FYJC admission process. The process remains the same as the candidate needs to visit the official website and restart confirming the application. The next Maharashtra FYJC merit list will be released on the 22nd of August 2022
There were a total of 1015 colleges participating in the Maharashtra FYJC Admissions process. A total of 371255 seats were offered by the FYJC among them nearly 244186 seats remained vacant. In the first round of the Maharashtra FYJC admission process, a total of 1,39,651 candidates were allotted seats among them only 67963 students accepted the seat or confirmed the admission.
In the same way for the Maharashtra FYJC second round of admission, a total of 69,691 students were allotted seats and only 24146 students confirmed the seats. The total CAP (centralized admission process) for the Maharashtra FYJC is 234878 and only 91727 students confirmed their seats for the FYJC. So to fill the remaining 143151 seats the authorities will be conducting another round of the Maharashtra FYJC admission process.

According to a piece of recent information released by the Deputy Director of Education, Mumbai (the main conducting authority of CAP), the quota admission will go on till the third round of counselling is completed. After the third round merit list is released on 22nd August 2022 colleges will be surrendering the list of quota vacant seats by 24th August. All the vacant seats will be included in the fourth round of CAP that is scheduled to start on 24th August 2022.
