Maharashtra SET 2019 to be Conducted as per National Exam Standards of UGC

The exam pattern for the Maharashtra SET will now be two papers instead of three papers. The SET exam is conducted for Maharashtra and Goa candidates who are eligible for the position of assistant professors.

Maharashtra SET 2019 to be Conducted as per National Exam Standards of UGC

According to the sources, the State Eligibility Test of Maharashtra (Maharashtra SET) for this academic year will be conducted as per the national exam standards of the University Grants Commission (UGC). More than one lakh students are expected to appear for Maharashtra SET exam this year which is likely to be conducted in June.

Maharashtra SET will now have two papers instead of three papers. The Paper I of Maharashtra SET will have questions about general aptitude for 100 marks, while the second paper will be based on the respective subject for 200 marks.

Coordinator of Maharashtra SET Exam, BP Kapadnis informed that both the exam papers would have multiple choice questions.

Maharashtra SET exam is conducted for Goa and Maharashtra candidates who are eligible for the position of assistant professors. This will be the 35th exam and will be organised by SPPU .

According to sources, the online application process for Maharashtra SET exam is expected to begin in February 2019. The changes in the respective examination were implemented by the University Grants Commission, and it is for the first time that the exam will be conducted as per the new pattern. However, Maharashtra SET 2019 shall take place in offline mode.
