The last date to apply for PhD admissions at MEC Hyderabad, that begins from 2020 onwards, is 27th June 2020. The interviews are scheduled to be conducted between the 02nd and 03rd July 2020.
A new PhD programme has been launched by the Mahindra University Ecole Centrale School of Engineering (MEC) Hyderabad which will be offered to the students from the 2020 academic session onwards. The PhD programme launched at the Mahindra University Ecole Centrale School of Engineering Hyderabad will be offered in the fields of Humanities & Social Sciences, Applied Sciences and Engineering.
In the Applied Sciences area of study, the PhD programme will be offered in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry while in the Engineering field, it will be offered in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Science Engineering.
Who is Eligible for the MEC Hyderabad PhD Programme
Interested candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the MEC Hyderabad PhD programme -
Applicants must have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline with a minimum aggregate of 60% (or 6.0 CGPA) at the qualifying exam
B. Tech (or equivalent) degree holders with a minimum aggregate of 70% (or 7.0 CGPA) in addition to a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR/DBT/INSPIRE Fellowship Examination for Sciences/Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines are also eligible
Those who have completed their B.Tech (or any 4-year degree study) from a Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI) with a minimum aggregate of 8.0 CGPA or above do not have to mandatorily appear in the GATE exam (or any other national level exam). The admission into the 4-year undergraduate programme should have been done on the basis of JEE scores
M.Sc degree holders from the IITs who have secured a minimum 8.0 CGPA also do not have to appear in GATE exam (or any other national level exam)

MEC Hyderabad PhD Application Fee 2020
To successfully apply for the PhD programme offered at MEC Hyderabad, the applicants have to deposit 1000/- rupees as application fee. The application fee amount has to be paid in the form of a DD in favour of Mahindra Ecole Centrale payable at Hyderabad India. The candidates can also deposit the application fee amount online. The details regarding the same are as follows -
The PhD students will also receive a PhD assistantship amount of 25,000/- rupees per month along with other miscellaneous expenditure like lodging & boarding etc.
MEC Hyderabad PhD Fee 2020
The PhD students have to pay 50,000/- rupees per annum as the fee to pursue their desirable PhD programme from MEC Hyderabad. In addition to it, the candidates have to pay 20,000/- rupees as a security deposit which has to be paid by the candidates only once.
