Akshay Thimmappaiah Jagadeesh and Anusha Taarinie eight semester student of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal have been selected for the 68th Meeting of Nobel Laureates in Lindau Germany from 25 to 30 June 2018. Around 20 students are selected from the country.
The 68th Meeting of Nobel Laureates will be held at Lindau Germany. The meet is attended by a large number of Nobel Prize winners, scientists, undergraduates, Ph.D. students, scholars and researchers from all over the world for a scientific exchange of thoughts, opinions, ideas, innovations and views.

It is one of the most prestigious meets and to attend the Lindau meeting is a big achievement. Those who get to attend the Lindau meet are known as Lindau Alumni . Also, it is quite surprising that the two students from the same institute get the opportunity to attend the meet.
Dr Partha Dabke, an alumnus of Kasturba Medical College was the first to receive the respective fellowship from Manipal in the year 2015. After his return, he started an Annual Lindau Alumni meet and conducted a conference on the Indo German Convention of Lindau Alumni- IGCLA. The conference was hosted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education. The meet was a great learning experience for young researchers to present their work and ideas with other researchers from all over the world.

Dr Vinod Bhat VC Manipal Academy of Higher Education congratulated the students for their selection in the 68th meet and expressed his happiness for the same.
