The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET AIQ Counselling 2021 for 15% UG and 50% PG medical seats according to a recent judgement by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. The counselling will be done in four rounds.
Students who have taken the NEET exam 2021 are waiting for the commencement of the counselling and admission procedure for session 2021-2022. However, the MCC is yet to give the schedule for counselling for medical courses.
Vacant seats will not go to states
The MCC has done some changes to the counselling process which is given as follows. Earlier, the seats that were not filled by the NEET AIQ counselling 2021 were reverted to the states to be filled by them. Now, they will not be reverted and filled by the MCC in AIQ, MopUp Round, and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round . There were some other changes as well that can be checked here.

New Counselling Scheme for NEET 2021
Here are the major details regarding the new counselling scheme for NEET 2021 AIQ counselling -
- Counselling will be conducted in four rounds, i.e., AIQ Round I, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Round and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round.
- The candidates are allowed to register fresh for AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ MopUp Round.
- No fresh registration is allowed for AIQ Stray Vacancy Round.
- No upgradation will be allowed from Round 2.
- Candidates who have taken admission in allotted seats from Round 2 are prohibited to resign and participate in further rounds of counselling.
- Candidates who have not joined the allotted seat in Round 2 are allowed to sit for further rounds through Fresh Registration and Forfeiture of Security Deposit.
