A student organization, Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) claims that there was mismanagement at the DU’s School of Open Learning centers after the classes commenced from Sunday, 1st September 2019. Students did not get space to sit and in some colleges they were not even allowed to enter.

A student organization, Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) claimed that there was mismanagement at the centers of DU’s School of Open Learning as the classes commenced from Sunday, September 1, 2019. However, the allegations were denied by CS Dubey, Director of the School of Open Learning. He said that everything went smoothly without any problem or issues.
The student body claimed that students were not allowed to enter the colleges even after they received an official message saying that the classes were held there. KYS, Krantikari Yuva Sangathan again said that hundreds of students of BA Political Science Department from South and North campus study were forced to go back due to insufficient space for sitting.
Students who received the text for attending classes at Swami Shraddhanand College also claimed that they did not find the subjects that they selected from the new syllabus and also various centers told the students that the classes will commence from this week.
KYS reported that even at Hansraj College , classes got canceled as a movie is scheduled at the center. KYS also added that students had to sit on the windowsills and floors due to overcrowding in the Political Science class. The student body said that the college also did not hand over any study materials to students.
CS Dubey strongly denied these claims saying the study materials are uploaded online and they received no complaints. Even, orientation was conducted by principals of different colleges.

All these issues will hamper the image of the colleges of Delhi University and is also creating problems for students. Thus, it is very important for the administrative department of Delhi University to look into the claims made by Krantikari Yuva Sangathan, KYS and sort them out.
