More than 15% candidates did not appear in Lucknow University undergraduate BSc (maths) entrance examination held on May 31.
Out of the 72168 applicants who applied for 477 seats, 6128 candidates appeared in the examination.
According to the students who appeared in the examination maths paper was tough while Physics and Chemistry paper were comparatively better. A candidate named Vishal Khatri said “Questions from trigonometry were tricky one and the overall maths paper was tough to solve,". On other hand some candidates said that Physics and Chemistry paper were fine but maths paper was a tough one.
Going by the number of application forms received by Lucknow University, BSc (mathematics) has emerged as the most sought-after among undergraduate courses. Eligibility for exams was 10+2(Intermediate)Science With Maths Or equivalent examination. Under Graduate students for the Session will be admitted on the basis of marks obtained in the Intermediate or equivalent Examinations.The percentage will be calculated up to three figures after decimal point.
