Mysore University Semester Exams Postponed:
Mysore University has postponed the Semester 2 and 4 exams of postgraduate, postgraduate diploma and diploma courses which are scheduled to be conducted on September 29. The university has taken the decision to postpone the exams due to the Karnataka Bandh over the Cauvery water issue. The university has not confirmed a new exam date for the postponed exams.
An official notice released by Mysore University states that ‘The exams scheduled to be conducted on September 29 have been postponed due to Karnataka Bandh. The semester 2 and 4 exams of PG, PGD and Diploma courses stand postponed for CBCS and FCBCS scheme. The exams that are postponed on September 29 shall be conducted after the conclusion of all exams for semesters 2 and 4. A Day-break shall be given after the conclusion of exams and postponed exams of September 29 shall be conducted accordingly’.

Apart from Mysore University, Bangalore University and Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University have postponed the exams scheduled on September 29. Public transport in Karnataka is expected to be disrupted due to the Karnataka Bandh and this is the major reason behind the postponement of exams.

Schools and colleges in Karnataka might declare a holiday on September 29 while some software companies may allow their employees to work from home. The bandh will be observed from 6 AM to 6 PM across the state. Various associations including Ola and Uber are extending their support for the bandh.
