The decision of conducting offline exams has been opposed by the students as many of the students are yet to take the first and second doses of COVID vaccines. The opposition was also in consideration that the college lacks the infrastructure required for conducting the offline exams and that many students are yet to resume the offline classes. The hostels of the colleges are not being cleaned & sanitized properly as per the students. Some of the students also complained of transportation problems as they live outstation.
Not only the students but the teachers also deny the offline exams saying that it will impose an extra burden on them. As per the teachers, in the case of offline exams, they have to set papers, evaluate the papers and declare results, which leaves them with a very short period of time. One of the students also tweeted his response to the offline Nagpur University Summer Exam 2022, “Nagpur University is taking 4th-semester exam offline. Sir, this is injustice happening with students because our future is also at stake. Let our semester be online and start a new academic year offline. There are only two months left for the exam.” The University has not released any updates regarding the change in the exam.
