NEET PG 2022 Internship Completion Deadline has been revised to July 31, 2022 as per SC order. MCC published a notice on September 01, 2022 to bring the same to the attention of the students.
NEET PG 2022 Internship Deadline: As per the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the internship deadline for NEET PG 2022 students has been extended. For the current academic year 2022-23, the revised NEET PG 2022 Internship Completion Deadline is July 31, 2022 . The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released a delayed notice (dated 01.09.2022 ) to inform the students about the same.
The change in deadline is in compliance with the SC order dated 05.04.2022 in the matter of a writ petition filed by Shikhar & Anr. against the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The old date mentioned in the NEET PG 2022 Information Bulletin is no longer valid which states the internship completion date as March 31, 2022.
“For the current academic year i.e., 2022-2023 the internship completion date is 31st July 2022,” reads the notice by MCC, continuing, “in compliance of the Order dated 05/04/2022 in W.P. No. 208 of 2022 in the matter of Shikhar & Anr. v/s NBE & Ors. before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
NEET PG 2022 Internship Completion Deadline
As per the latest notice by MCC, the following dates are valid:
NEET PG 2022 Old Internship Deadline | March 31, 2022 |

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the start of the internship was delayed in many states which led to lakhs of aspirants being unable to complete their internship before March 31. For example, in Kerala and Jharkhand, the internships began in August 2021, in Bihar, it was October 2021 while in Jammu & Kashmir, the internships began as late as November 2021. The Supreme Court, however, has refused to extend the deadline further.
