NIT Delhi invites applications for Visvesvaraya Ph.D Scheme for Electronics and ITNIT Delhi Ph.D. for Electronics and IT Admission 2023: The National Institute of Technology, Delhi has announced a unique scheme named Visvesvaraya Ph.D. for Electronics and IT for the 2023-24 intake. This unique program has been introduced to provide advanced research facilities and to promote innovations in new technologies. This Ph.D. scheme is being sponsored by the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The students having a master's degree in engineering or a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a valid GATE score are eligible to apply for this Ph.D. scheme.

Financial Support for Students under Visvesvaraya Ph.D Scheme at NIT Delhi
The government has announced monetary support for all full-time researchers who will be shortlisted for Ph.D under this scheme. Check the financial benefits in the list below:
Fellowship: Rs 38,750/- per month will be given for the first two years which will be increased to Rs 43,750/- for the following years (Up to a maximum of 3 additional years)
Research Contingency Grant Support : A grant of Rs 1.20 lacs per year (Up to the completion of Ph.D) as support for the research
