According to sources, NTA (National Testing Agency) is not planning to reduce the syllabus of JEE Main 2021 despite CBSE, ISC and other state boards cut down the syllabus of Class 12 th by 30%. As NTA is going to confirm the exam date for JEE Main January 2021 soon, discussions are underway with regard to the exam date and syllabus. In all probability, NTA may conduct the January 2021 exam in the last week of February or mid-March.
Only a few state boards have confirmed the syllabus cut for Class 12 th for the academic session 2020-21. As NTA considers the syllabus of all state boards, it is highly unlikely that JEE Main 2021 syllabus may be revised. If all states across the country reduce their syllabus, then NTA may consider revising the syllabus for JEE Main.
Also, NTA is considering certain factors that some of the topics featured in the syllabus of JEE Main are important for students joining B.Tech. In addition, most of the boards like CBSE/ ISC deleted certain sub-topics in different chapters and not the entire chapter. In such cases, there will not be a major change in the syllabus of JEE Main 2021.
