Odisha School Holiday Tomorrow 23 October 2024: In anticipation of Cyclone Dana's landfall, the Odisha state government has taken proactive measures by announcing the closure of schools, colleges, and other educational institutions in several districts on October 23, 24, and 25, 2024 . This decision is based on the forecast provided by the India Meteorological Department, which predicts significant rainfall accompanying the cyclone. As a result, educational institutions in 14 districts will remain closed until October 25, 2024. Following the closure and in consideration of the weekend, schools are scheduled to resume on October 28, 2024.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the coastal districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak. The alert predicts heavy rainfall and lightning in Khurda, Ganjam, and Jagatsinghpur districts on the same day.

Here are the latest updates related to Odisha School Holiday on October 23 to 25, 2024!To ensure the safety of students, Special Relief Commissioner DK Singh has directed the School and Mass Education Department to implement school closures as a precautionary measure.
This decision was made in anticipation of the potential impact of the cyclone, which is expected to bring heavy rainfall to certain areas.
In response to these developments, the SRC has communicated this directive to the school and mass education department in writing, and a three-day school holiday has been declared in 14 districts.
President Droupadi Murmu's three-day visit to Odisha has been postponed due to the approaching Cyclone Dana, which is projected to make landfall on October 25.
