The officials of Board of Intermediate Education have inspected various junior colleges at Guntur on 11-May-2016. They made a surprise visit to all the few colleges to inspect various facilities like laboratories, drinking water, sanitary facilities, library and playground at colleges. The inspection was conducted by Regional Inspecting Officer, Mr. Venkateswara Reddy along with a team of 4 members.
He checked the various facilities at colleges and expressed his satisfaction for the proper maintenance of all the facilities. He also congratulated the college managements for securing excellent results in Intermediate. Around 85% of Junior colleges at Guntur secured 90% Pass in Intermediate. He also checked the registers and attendance of the students and also checked the list of minority students studying in respective colleges.
Later Mr. Venkateswara Reddy spoke with the media. He said that, “Few colleges in Guntur have been running special coaching classes for senior intermediate students in the summer. Stringent action will be taken against those managements if they do not declare holidays for the students. We are going to inspect 70-80 colleges in the next week. He also assured that the government will complete the construction of Government Junior and Degree College at backward region Palanadu by the last week of May”.
