PM Modi to Newly-Inaugurate Medical CollegePM Modi to Newly-Inaugurate Medical College : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate a new medical college ‘NAMO Medical Education and Research Institute’ and other buildings in Silvassa town during his visit to Silvassa today. In the morning, he will inaugurate the medical college and in the evening, he will launch various projects worth Rs. 4800 crores and more in Daman and Diu and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli today.
As per the officials, the medical college in Silvassa is built on Rs. 203 crores and features amenities like club house, multi-story library, academic block with an auditorium and four lecture halls, provision for indoor and outdoor games, hostel for students, and residential accommodation for faculty. After inaugurating the medical college, PM Modi will attend a gathering at Sayeli village located in Silvassa.
After the gathering, Narendra Modi will launch the projects for Union Territory during his day-long visit. In the evening, Modi will hold a 16-km long roadshow in the town of Daman.
To convert Daman into a major tourist hub, ‘Devka Promenade and Seafront’ a state-of-art infrastructure was initiated in May 2018 and was completed in March 2023. The total cost of the infrastructure was Rs. 165.10 crore.
Some sources have declared that Narendra Modi might also attend the Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam event on April 26 in Gujarat. The event is being held from April 17 to April 30, 2023.
