The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has cancelled the Mathematics examination for Class 12 students, which was scheduled to take place today, March 20, 2018, at 2:00 PM. The exam was cancelled after a report on the paper leak received by PSEB was confirmed. An investigation was conducted in this regard, and the officials of PSEB confirmed the leak.
The authorities have given the orders for the cancellation of the exam, and Mathematics exam for Class 12 students has been rescheduled. As per the official information, the Maths exam will be conducted after the last paper. The authorities of PSEB will send the new question papers to the district authorities and ordered that the Maths question papers that were sent earlier must not be opened.

PSEB Class 12 exams began on February 28, 2018, and will continue until March 24, 2018.
On March 17, 2018, an issue was brought to the notice of PSEB. A government school principal allegedly collected Rs. 70 from students, who were appearing to board exams in his school. He informed students that the board had directed to collect the money. The incident took place on the Day 1 of Class 12 board exams, February 28, 2018. The District Education Office received a complaint in this regard, and the school principal returned the money to students after the issue came into limelight.

A team from District Education Office conducted an enquiry. The school principal was present for enquiry, and he revealed that the money was collected to provide refreshments to the exam duty staff. The team termed it as illegal and clarified that the board had not implemented such rule to collect Rs. 70 from students. A report will be submitted to PSEB by District Education Office and necessary action will be initiated against the school principal.
