Pune University: 50% Increase in the Number of M.Phil & Ph.D. Seats

It is good news for the aspirants of M.Phil and Ph.D. course at Savitribai Phule Pune University. The recent data released by the varsity indicates that the number of M.Phil and Ph.D. seats have been increased by 50%. However, the number has been less compared to the previous years. According to the revised data, the varsity offers around 2,800 seats in the Ph.D. course and around 400 seats in M.Phil programme. This year, the varsity received fewer applications for the admission to M.Phil & Ph.D course. The competition is lesser due to the delay in the declaration of final year results by Mumbai University. On the other hand, the varsity decided to extend the deadline for the admission to Ph.D. and M.Phil courses from August 14 to August 21, 2017, considering the requests made the students of Mumbai University.
