With everything shifting online, there won’t be any commotion seen during the admission processes of undergraduate students around the college campuses this year. Unlike previous years, students no more will have to run from one campus to another for admissions. University Grants Commission (UGC) issued a circular last month which has made form-filling to merit lists and even the payment processes, the entire process for the under graduate degree go online.
With the availability of the hardcopy of HSC marksheet by June 3, the admission process will start internally after this date, said Dr BB Gaikwad, director of Board of College and University Development, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).
Also an online software will be used to complete the admission process according to the SPPU authorities. “We are developing it but even if there is delay, colleges are expected to complete the process online at their level,” said Gaikwad.
