Punjab State Police Recruitment 2022: Vacancy for 1800 Constables, 300 Sub Inspectors Every Year

Punjab State Police Recruitment 2022: Punjab Government has declared an official announcement that the Punjab Police will recruit a total of 1800 constables and 300 Sub-Inspector Posts each year. This decision has come following the recent attack on Taran Taran Police Station with an RPG on 10th December 2022. Punjab cabinet has made this decision together to ensure more security in the state for any upcoming threat.

Chief minister Bhagwant Maan headed this meeting where the number of vacancies in the Punjab State Police Recruitment 2022 was increased by 2100 more for constables and Sub-Inspector positions.

The official announcement was made public to the press by Finance Minister Harpal Cheema after the long-held cabinet meeting. Cheema declared that the Punjab police recruitment 2022 will commence in January next year and will stay the same each year. This new change in the recruitment of Punjab police has been made to increase the safety measure in the current law situation in the state.

Punjab Police Recruitment 2022 will Complete in One Year

In the detailed briefing, Harpal Cheema said that the Punjab Police has to make sure that the recruitment for these posts must complete in a maximum of one year. He added that the Punjab Police Recruitment will commence from the month of January each year and the written examination will be conducted in May-June followed by the physical tests on 15-30 September each year. The Finance Minister stated ‘A number of posts in the NCC are currently vacant. The cabinet has decided to fill 203 posts in the NCC immediately as any recruitment has not been done in the past six to seven years'.

Punjab Police Recruitment Selection Process

Recruitment of 1800 constables and 300 Sub-Inspectors in Punjab Police will start with an online registration form on the official website. The applicants have to appear for the written examination. The last step is the physical examination in which the candidates shortlisted from the written exam will be allowed to appear.
