The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B) has been successful in adding another feather to its cap. IIM Bangalore’s EPGP Programme has ranked 36th among the global top 50 Executive MBA (EMBA) Rankings by QS. Last year, IIM B was at the 61st spot.
The EMBA rankings measure the management programmes meant for executives with prior work experience. The rankings are done on the basis of various parameters such as thought leadership, executive profile. career outcomes, diversity and employer reputation. The weightage of employer reputation is 30 per cent, executive profile and thought leadership are 15 and 25 per cent respectively. The weightage of career outcomes is 20 per cent and diversity is 10 per cent.

Apart from IIM B, there are two new entrants - Indian School of Business , which has debuted at the 81st position and IIM Kozhikode which ranks in the 101+grouping as per the EMBA Rankings 2020.
The QS Rankings are known for identifying the top universities in the world in individual and specific subject areas so that it gets easier for students in finding suitable universities for themselves if they are aware of which subjects are of interest to them. QS Executive MBA Rankings have been giving ranks to business schools that are based on certain specific parameters such as executive profile, thought leadership, career outcomes, and diversity.

Globally, The Wharton School has managed to retain its position as the world’s best in QS EMBA Rankings. Spain’s IESE Business School and France’s HEC Paris are on the second and third spot respectively.
