Rajasthan government has decided to provide free education to girls in the state-run institutions from July 2019. Bhanwar Singh Bhati, Higher Education Minister of the State informed about the same.
While addressing the press conference, he informed that the all the girls studying in government colleges of the Rajasthan state will be provided with free education from the next academic session which will begin in the month of July.
According to him, the main aim of the state is to make education available to all female students so that they are independent and can build a career for themselves. To empower women, education is the key. Therefore, this initiative will motivate female students to pursue higher studies and to make themselves employable, he added.

Apart from this, he further informed that all the girl students in Rajasthan colleges will be provided with sanitary napkins free of cost.
Similarly, Karnataka government also came up with a similar initiative to provide free education to female students across the state . The aim is to provide free education to female students. Free education scheme is a great opportunity for female students to pursue higher studies without relying on parent’s expenses. The move will encourage women students to pursue PG courses and have an independent career for themselves.
