The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Retailer Association of India (RAI), Mumbai at the university’s headquarters in New Delhi.
“We are signing a MoU to take a lead in initiating activities in collaboration with the RAI for offering industry linked ODL Programme in the Retail Sector,” said Prof. Nageshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, IGNOU. The Programme focuses on the skill development and employment generation, Prof. Rao added addressing the MoU signing-in ceremony with RAI.
“This Programme is offered in the modular approach. On completion of Ist Year, you get a Diploma in Retailing (DIR). On completion of IInd Year you get an Advanced Diploma in Retailing (ADIR), on completion of IIIrd year, you get a BBA degree. The programme is offered once, in July every year. The MoU was signed by Sri Raj Gopalan, CEO, RAI and Mr Sudhir Budakoti, Registrar (Administration), IGNOU.
