There are a total of 36 interns who have joined Samsung India this year and who will be working from home during the lockdown period. All the interns were provided induction in terms of remotely working and maintaining social distancing.
Due to the lockdown in the country, Samsung India has started the initiative of “work from home” internship for the interns who have joined the company recently. There are a total of 36 interns who have joined Samsung India this year and who will be working from home during the lockdown period. All the interns were provided induction in terms of remotely working and maintaining social distancing. The IT and HR department provided the corporate coordinates and software salute for all the interns who will be working from home, while the leadership department also joined the conference call to motivate the interns.

Sameer Wadhawan, Head of Human Resources at Samsung India, stated that while the induction period for the interns was for a duration of 5 hours, it was good to see the interns enthusiastic and full of energy during the period. He further added that 2020 batch of interns can be considered as one of the luckiest interns as they are being provided with the lessons on technology and innovation and also helping Samsung India to make remote working and social distancing a success.

The interns at Samsung India are required to start working on the project instantly and for their assistance, they will be also provided and e-buddy. Silpa PS, An intern from Jamshedpur stated that initially, she was in doubt regarding an internship at Samsung India due to the lockdown in Country. Although, Samsung India has helped the interns get reassured and provide the perfect solution to working remotely in the lockdown.
