The Supreme Court of India has decided to hear a fresh plea seeking a CBI probe into CBSE paper leak issue and re-examination. The apex court will take up the plea for hearing next week, Chief Justice Dipak Mishra confirmed.
The plea to seek CBI probe was filed by a social activist, Mr. Sanjoy Sachdev. The petitioner sought the court to direct CBSE to strike down the order to conduct the re-exam for Class 12 Economics. However, CBSE has successfully conducted Class 12 Economics re-exam on April 25, 2018, and the Economics paper was easier than earlier.

The petitioner further requested the court to order an enquiry by the CBI in all the cases of paper leak across various states in the country. The petitioner mentioned that there might be the involvement of some of the board officials in the paper leak. Therefore, a CBI enquiry will figure out the real acts. In order to cover up the mistake and save the real culprits, CBSE has conducted re-examination, the petitioner alleged.
