School Holiday Declared in Rajasthan: The Secondary Education Board Rajasthan Bikaner has asked the government and non-government schools to declare a holiday. The winter holiday was declared by observing the falling temperature and the possibility of an increase in the cold waves. The holiday was declared for the class between the 1st and 8th. The winter holiday in Rajasthan is declared till 14th January 2023. The timing for the teachers and examination conducted will remain the same.

The announcement related to the Rajasthan winter holiday for classes between the 1st to 8th was announced on the 6th of January 2023 on the official Twitter handle of the Rajasthan Board. Students who are participating in the Republic day performance at Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur can attend the rehearsal. The Authorities strictly asked the government as well as private schools to follow the instruction. Strict actions will be taken against the schools disobeying the instructions.
Apart from Rajasthan, states like Uttarpraseh, Delhi, Lucknow and Punjab have also closed the schools in various districts. The announcement came after IMD issued a warning related to the close wave across the northern region. In the coming days, Rajasthan will be witnessing a dip in the temperature, especially at night, with dense fog.
