School students in Delhi NCR is being taught about the election process not only to raise awareness in their areas but also to ensure them a secure and aware polling environment in future.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections in India 2019, the schools in Delhi NCR are taking initiative to raise literacy about the Lok Sabha election process and the system that runs the nation.
This initiative will help the students to become the ambassadors of election who will encourage the people to vote. As the new academic session in schools is about to begin, it will teach students the importance of votes so that they can aware and pursue the elders to go to the polling booth to cast their votes. The campaign is set to run throughout April.
The principal of Vasant Global School in Noida, Ms. Seema Trikha informed that the activity planned will also help the students to understand their democratic rights also. So, when they grow up and get enrolled as a voter, they can cast their votes in a civilised manner and aware environment.
She also added that the students will be trained to work as ambassadors in their neighbourhoods and slums to act as electoral embassadors who will raise awareness with the help of knowledge gained from school.

A senior official informed that teachers who have experience in electoral duties will be appointed to teach the student about the process in a detailed manner. They will enlight student about the constitutional, legal and legislative operations and the technological process. It will help students by clearing the role of the election commission, media and stakeholders to the school students.
