Delhi Government has decided to come out with a new project for promoting a scientific culture among students. The government announced that there will be ‘Science Innovation Hub’ in one of the schools run by the government in Kautilya Enclave. The school will have the state of the art modern and latest facilities such as a planetarium and a museum. The estimated budget to offer this facility is expected to be around 5 Crore and it will take two to three years to complete this project as per the officials.
With growing educational demands in the city, adequate educational infrastructure is a must in order to facilitate quality education to all the students in their respective areas. The Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) has been assigned a task for the construction and development of the same and mentioned that the “Science Innovation Hub” will be constructed in Delhi for Education Department. The hub will be developed with state-of-the-art facilities based on the patterns that are followed in other centres and abroad.
The science innovation hub will attract students as it will be developed with the help of latest and modern infrastructure. The hub will have an auditorium, a museum, a planetarium, a library, art, and modern experiential galleries, simulation systems, instruments, varieties of equipment, and many advanced and latest technologies. The Directorate of Delhi Education has asked DTTDC to develop an innovation hub on a 30,000 square metre land at Chirag Enclave in Kautilya Sarvodaya Co-education School. The idea behind the science innovation hub is to promote scientific culture and develop a habit of scientific temper among students.
