The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination for selecting candidates for filling up different categories of posts in various Ministries/Departments/Organisations. The stages of SSC CGL Selection Procedure have been explained below.
The selection process of SSC CGL consists of four stages
:
- Stage 1: Tier I Online Test
- Stage 2 : Tier II Online Test
- Stage 3: Tier III Descriptive Test
- Stage 4: Tier IV Data Entry Skill Test (DEST)/Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
- Candidates will have to qualify Tier I, II, III & IV with a high score to secure avrank in the merit list.
- The Commission prepares All India Merit List on the basis of the total score obtained by the candidates in the written examination and preferences exercised by them in their application forms for different posts.
- Once the candidate has been given his/her first available preference, as per his/her merit, he/she will not be considered for any other options.
- The option/preference once exercised by the candidate will be treated as final and irreversible.
- Shortlisted candidates will recieve letter of appointments based on their post preferences and ranks.
