Among all the colleges of Delhi University, St. Stephen’s is the first college to reserve three seats in all the courses for the children of martyrs. The college reserved three supernumerary seats for the academic session 2017-18. The application process was over on June 12, 2017. However, the candidates who wish to join St. Stephen’s College must submit a separate application form on the official website of the college.
St. Stephens College offers 410 seats in 10 courses. The college offers some of the popular courses like B.A History (Hons.), B.A Economics (Hons.), B.A English (Hons.) and B.Sc Chemistry (Hons.).

Three supernumerary seats are available for the children of armed forces personnel who have sacrificed their lives in action for the sake of the country. However, the Principal of the college will take the final decision on the allocation of course to these candidates.
St. Stephen’s College reserves 50% seats for the Christians. The college conducts an aptitude test and interview for the applicants who meet the required cut-off. Class 12 marks are the important criterion in shortlisting the candidates for the admission to various courses. The college gives 85% weightage to Class 12 marks, 5 percent to the aptitude test and 10% to the interview.

On the other hand, the candidates who fall under PwD category need not appear for aptitude test. These candidates will have to appear for the interview, and the weightage for the same is 15 percent.
