The Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK)
has achieved
100% compliance
rate at the submission of Management Information System (MIS) this year. The directorate of higher education of the state government had asked the
University
officials to submit the MIS-information on an urgent basis earlier this year before January 31.
MIS covers information from all the institutions in the state which are pertaining to higher education in streams Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Law and other non-engineering courses. According to the university officials, to make the procedure simple, the university earlier last year had conducted the workshop related to the information updating at MIS portal, in the month of September.
MIS data
is collected on several parameters such as teachers, student enrolment, programmes, examination results, education finance, and infrastructure along with others.According to the university officials, the details are important, as the information is used in forming policies on creating skilled manpower development in the higher education sector in the country.
