Results of the interviews held at the job fair at
Shivaji University
will be out Wednesday. Over 1,500 students had appeared for 450 positions at 22 companies on Monday at the university campus. University officials said it was the second job fair in the past four months. It was received well by students and was conducted without any hitch.
This time on Monday, vice-chancellor Devanand Shinde along with Board of Colleges and University Development (BCUD) director, D R More, and acting registrar V N Shinde too visited the venue of the job fair and interacted with students, said the official.
The interviews were conducted for various administrative and technical posts. The students who will get selected will get a direct call from the company and is likely to be directed for further formalities, the official said. He said the placement wing of the SUK has managed to get employment for over 2,000 students last year.
"The university is planning to organise a mega job fair in July, wherein the number of participating companies will be higher than those in the January fair."
