The Happiness Department at T John Group of Institutions celebrated International Day of Happiness on March 20, 2018. Students enthusiastically participated in the event and expressed their mode of happiness by writing it on the stretch that was displayed in the college lobby. More than 1,000 students took part in the event with joy. The Happiness Department of T John Group of Institutions planned a defined programme with a motive to improve the happiness score of the colleges.

T. John is the first institute in India to set up a separate department for promoting happiness . The Happiness Department at T. John Group of Institutions was launched on January 03, 2018. The concept of a separate happiness department on the campus was advocated by Chairperson of T John Group of Institutions, Dr. Thomas John. He also heads the Happiness Department on the campus.
The motto of Happiness Department at T John Group of Institutions is to nurture and improve the Happiness Index on the campus and to help students live a happier and satisfactory life.
The Happiness Department declared February as the ‘Month of Happiness’ . The initiation of Happiness Index was primarily started among the faculties and all helping staffs. As a part of various activities to promote happiness, a presentation and survey were done for everyone. An assessment plan was released based on the results of the survey. The happiness session among the students is currently in progress.
