B.Ed Courses Admission Fee Issued by Telangana Regulatory Fee Body

The Telangana State Admission Fee Regulatory Committee came up with some changes in the B.Ed admission fee structure to be followed in the Telangana B.Ed colleges. Find out all the changes in the news below. 

B.Ed Course Fee Restructured at Telangana

The Telangana State Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC) fixed the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course admission fee for the block period 2019-20 to 2020-21 in the state of Telangana on 01st September 2020. Under this move, a total of 209 B.Ed colleges’ admission fee was fixed by the TAFRC based on the audited financial statements submitted by the management. The notification for the same was issued by the School Education Department Admission.

The annual fee for the B.Ed course in the Telangana ranges between INR 16,500/- and INR 32,000/-. The majority of the B.Ed colleges charge between INR 20,000 and 28,000/- as admission fee. The notification also says that the institutions can now collect the annual tuition fee for a particular year either in installment or collectively as advance every year.

An order has also been issued for the B.Ed institutions in Telanagana regarding the capitation fee. The institutions have been ordered not to charge any unauthorized or illegal amount in any form except for the ones fixed by the committee. In case, the institution charge any extra amount, for say capitation fee, the profit from the same must be used for the benefit of the institution. That surplus amount cannot be diverted for personal gains or other purposes.

It has been also stated that the management is not permitted to run the relevant courses in their institutions after the fee structure has been fixed by the committee. They will only be allowed to run the relevant courses in their institutions when the courses are permitted and recognised the concerned universities or the National Council of Teacher Education or by the government at any relevant time.
