B.Tech colleges in Telangana to have 21,000 additional seats for the academic session 2020-21. As JNTU Hyderabad approved new courses for the upcoming admission session, many private colleges have applied for the approval of new seats in these courses. So far, applications have been received for the approval of 20,700 seats in new B.Tech courses, and the officials of TSCHE are expecting applications for 1500 more seats. However, the approval will be granted only if these colleges satisfy the norms specified by AICTE. A team of TSCHE will inspect the colleges and grant approval for the seats in new courses.
According to sources, more than 100 engineering colleges are expected to launch new courses in B.Tech. So far, 90 colleges affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad have submitted applications for new courses, while 10 colleges that fall under Osmania University and Kakatiya University have applied for the approval of seats in new courses. However, TSCHE will grant approval to those colleges which have NAAC grade and NBA accreditation.

This year, the EWS category will be introduced in B.Tech admissions of Telangana , and this additional seats will also have EWS quota. The seats will be divided as per the reservation policies at the time of TS EAMCET counselling.

The online application form submission for TS EAMCET 2020 is underway, and the entrance exam is scheduled to take place from May 05, 2020.
