The first day of the career counselling event, The Assam Tribune Edu Fair, got underway today at the TRP Indoor Stadium, Guwahati, which witnessed more than 40 reputed educational institutions from across the country. Facilitating broad range of career assessment opportunities, the latest edition of the event reached out to the students of Northeast, expanding in two new venues of Jorhat and Makum this time.
The event, apart from bringing students and educational institutions together under one roof, also helps the aspirants and parents have a constructive discussion on facilities and fee structures of colleges and institutions along with expert counselling and guidance.
Institutes like Tata Institute of Social Sciences- School of Vocational Education (TISS-SVE), Lovely Professional University (LPU), Amity University, NSHM Knowledge Campus, The Neotia University, Mody University, College Of Engineering, Roorkee and Sharada University are taking part in the edu fair.
The Edu Fair was started in the year 2009. It organises a plethora of events every year at different locations. The two-day event of this year would be held at Shillong All-Saints Hall on May 13-14, at Dibrugarh DHSK College on May 16-17 and at Jorhat Tarajan Sanmilani Hall on May 20-21. Zila Sahitya Sabha Hall, Makum, would host a one-day event on May 18.
Free entry and free counselling is being provided to students participating in this event. Apart from that, students can also avail the benefits of a free psychometric test by the Mind India.
The event is supported by Oil India Limited as title sponsors and Royal Group Of Institutions as the associate sponsors.
