TNEA Counselling 2023 to begin on July 22: Detailed schedule to be announced shortly

TNEA counselling 2023 will be started on July 22, 2023, and will be concluded on September 11, 2023. The counselling will be conducted in three rounds for 7.5% quota, special cadre, and general students.

The Tamil Nadu State Government Minister for Higher Education, Ponmudi has declared the official date of TNEA counselling 2023, which will be started on July 22, 2023. As per the announcement, the TNEA counselling 2023 will be concluded on September 11, 2023. The detailed schedule of TNEA counselling viz round-wise choice filling, seat allotment and reporting to the colleges dates will be available soon on the official website- tneaonline.org.

As per the report, a total of 187847 students applied with all the documents for TNEA counselling and among them, only 178958 students are assumed to be eligible to participate in the choice-filling process. The Higher Education Minister has informed the press reporters that the first phase of counselling will be conducted for the special cadre candidates with a 7.5% quota and the same will be scheduled on July 22 and 23. Post that the counselling for the special cadre candidates will be taken place from July 24 to 26, 2023. Lastly, the counselling for the general or the common cadre candidates will be held from July 28 to September 1, 2023. This refers that there will be a total of 3 phrases of counselling for the current academic session.

Based on the notice released by the education minister, a total of 430 engineering colleges are participating this year in TNEA counselling. More specifically, there are a total of 157378 seats available for the counselling of TNEA. Out of this, 11804 seats are reserved for the 7.5% quota of govt. School students.

TNEA Counselling 2023: Instructions to Follow

Since the authority has already released the TNEA 2023 merit list, therefore, the candidates can directly participate in the choice-filling process. The candidates should enter their choices as per their preferences from the available list. Candidates are advised to maintain the sequence of their choices. Also, it is advisable to enter the choices as many as they can, so that the chances of getting a seat in the allotment process are increased.
