TS EAMCET 2018 , the state-level engineering, agriculture and medical entrance test in Telangana, has successfully begun on May 02, 2018, in various centres across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. For the first time, TS EAMCET is being conducted in online mode. The Computer-Based Test (CBT) received good response from the students on the first day. The state government of Telangana has issued strict directives to the concerned authorities for the smooth conduct of exam without any technical glitches.
At a test centre in Khammam and Hyderabad, the exam was delayed by a few minutes due to power disruption. The concerned exam centre authorities took immediate steps and restored power supply with the help of generators.

With a motive to familiarise the students on the CBT, they were allowed into the exam centre two hours before the commencement of the test. A detailed explanation was given by the test centre authorities on the CBT and helped the students to get acquainted with the new process.
On the first day, TS EAMCET 2018 was conducted for Agriculture and Medical (AM) stream . The test was conducted in 87 centres across both the Telugu states. The test for AM stream will also continue on May 03, 2018. A total number of 73,106 candidates applied for AM stream.

After taking the test, students expressed their satisfaction with the new system and stated that CBT was better than the offline exam. Some students termed CBT as time-saving and easier than pen & paper-based test.
On Day of TS EAMCET 2018, over 91% applicants have taken the test in the morning and afternoon sessions.
The exam for engineering stream will be conducted on May 04, 05 & 07, 2018.
