TS Inter Exams 2023-24: Important instructions regarding English practicals for first-year students (Image Credit: Pexels)TS Inter Exams 2023-24 : Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education is likely to conduct TS inter exams 2023-24 in the second week of Febraury 2024 . For English practicals, the first-year students will have to perform three oral evaluation tests - JAM (Just a Minute), Role Play, and Communicative Functions to showcase their abilities in Spoken English. This initiative has been taken by the Board to help students develop English communication skills. Other than that, two more evaluation tests - Listening Comprehension, and Practical Record Book test will be held to improve English writing skills. Based on the performance in all five rounds, a final score will be provided to the candidates for English practical. TS Inter Exams 2023-24: Important instructions regarding English practicals for first-year students (Oral Assessment)
The crucial instructions regarding English practicals during TS Inter Exams 2023-24 for first-year students (Oral Assessment) are as follows:
1st Oral Assessment (JAM) : There will be 30 slips, each slip containing a new topic. Students will have to randomly pick a slip, and talk on the topic provided in the slip for one minute. The topic can be sports, favourite teacher, etc.
2nd Oral Assessment (Role Play) : For this, students will be provided with a situation based on which they need to engage in a conversation for one or two minutes. For example: Students might be asked to create a conversation between a shopkeeper and a customer.
3rd Oral Assessment (Communicative Functions) : In this round, the authorities will record the student’s oral response based on a given situation.
TS Inter Exams 2023-24: Important instructions regarding English practicals for first-year students (Written Assessment)
Given below are crucial instructions regarding English practicals during TS Inter Exams 2023-24 for first-year students (Oral Assessment):
1st Written Assessment (Listening Comprehension) : For listening comprehension, the examiner will make an announcement, and students will have to listen and answer the announcement on the sheet provided to them.
2nd Written Assessment (Practical Record Books) : For this, the practical record books need to be submitted by the students based on the topic provided to them.
TS Inter Exams 2023-24: Highlights
The highlights of TS Inter Exams for the academic year 2023-24 are as follows:
The question paper will comprise of 100 marks, 80 for theory, and 20 for practical.
The passing mark for the theory portion is 28, and for the practical part is 7.
To pass the practical segment, candidates need to secure the highest marks possible in oral communication and also showcase their written skills via practical record books, and listening comprehension.
Each section listed above will comprise 4 marks each.
